Lighthouse on the River is a kingdom equipping centre in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada. We are a community passionate about sharing the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In His Presence, hearts are transformed and lives are forever changed. As Father God heals and restores the hearts of His children, they are better able to reflect His righteousness, peace and joy to the world.

Pastors Wayne and Deborah McCuen founded Lighthouse on the River in 2011. They are:
Wayne and Deborah are retired from careers in education. They have been married for 44 years and blessed with amazing children and grandchildren.
Wayne and Deborah have walked with the Lord for many decades and hold the Word of God as supreme in their hearts. Their greatest desire is to live in intimacy with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Their life purpose is to reinforce the truth of what Jesus has already accomplished through His death, burial and resurrection. They live to bring Him pleasure and see Him exalted on earth.
1. The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
2. In One True God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer of all. He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is the only begotten, incarnate Son of God who died on the cross for us. By His resurrection He conquered hell, death and the grave. He entered the heavenly Holy of Holies to make the final offering for sin and all of its effects. Having sat down at the right hand of God, He has completed the work of salvation. There is nothing we can add to His finished work.
4. Humankind was created in the image of God to enjoy a personal relationship with Him.
5. Salvation is by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
6. Righteousness is a free gift given to every believer. Therefore, every believer is qualified for all of the promises of God and empowered to live in righteousness.
7. Baptism and Communion: Baptism is taught and demonstrated by Jesus as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Communion is a time of remembering Christ’s sacrifice and redemption offered for us.
8. Holy Spirit’s ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus and to comfort, teach and guide believers into all truth. At the same time, He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement.
9. The Church consists of all who put their faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus and further advance His kingdom.
10. Judgment and resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved or righteous into eternal life and the lost into eternal punishment.
